  • The Town of Kendall has scheduled a public Open House and exhibit for Kendall property owners within the established Town of Kendall & Hamlin Joint Sewer District. This will be held on THURSDAY, JUNE 20, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. in the gymnasium of the Kendall Junior/Senior High School, 16887 Roosevelt Highway, Kendall, New York. The meeting will provide an update on the sewer project, afford an opportunity to ask questions, and aid those affected to complete required easements and receive septic tank and potential grinder pump marker stakes.

  • The Town of Kendall has recently taken ownership of Curtis Park, at 1223 Countyline Road, in Morton, through a generous donation by Morton Fire Company. This offers the public a variety of possible uses for this property.

    The Town Board wants to hear ideas and suggestions from the community – all parts of the community – as to how this land should be utilized.     Councilwoman Flow is seeking representatives of various demographics to participate on a small committee whose mission will be to guide the utilization of this new public asset. Please contact her at bflow@townofkendall.com if you are interested in serving.

  • The Genesee County Health Department will be hosting their first rabies immunization clinic of the year at no charge to participants on Thursday, February 8, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Batavia Town Highway Garage (3833 West Main Street Road, Batavia, NY).
    Vaccinations are free for dogs, cats and ferrets, but voluntary donations are accepted. Animals must be at least 3 months old. Each animal must be leashed or crated and accompanied by an adult who can control the animal. Limit 4 pets per person maximum.The next rabies immunization clinics are as follows:
    Orleans County Clinics at the Orleans County Fairgrounds (12690 State Route 31, Albion, NY 14411)

    • Saturday, April 13, from 9 to 11:30 a.m.
    • Wednesday, June 5, from 4 to 6:30 p.m.
    • Saturday, Aug. 10, from 9 to 11:30 a.m.
    • Saturday, Oct. 19, from 9 to 11:30 a.m.

  • Genesee County /Orleans County Health Department has obtained a HUD grant to help control lead hazards in homes in Genesee and Orleans County.  Please see attached flyer here.  This is open to homeowners and landlords; income requirements must be met and there needs to be a child under the age of 6 living or visiting the home regularly. There needs to be lead hazards present, which the department would handle investigating.
